——————————————————————————————
I have talked to someone recently who cannot wait until January 2nd, so that everyone will be open everyday of the week. She truly reminded me of Ebenezer Scrooge. She thinks it’s silly to be closed just because of a holiday. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and Saturdays are a complete inconvience to her because most businesses are closed those days. She doesn’t give any gifts to anyone. She needs a Jacob Marley intervention. It doesn’t really surprise me though, she’s a bit of a grump the rest of the year, too.
Oh well, they can’t all be pleased all of the time.
So off to watch Return of the Jedi.
best game ever

October 28, 2007 at 6:38 pm | In Life in PA, Sports | No Commentsi just finished passing out candy for begger’s night. there really isn’t a whole lot of imagination left out there, is there?
there where a lot of generic monsters, lots of pirates and spider-men/venom. there were a few darth vaders, and a storm trooper. the best by far was marvin the martian. it was awesome and completely home-made. i can remember being a mouse, an astronaut (or race car driver, depending on how you wanted to see it) and an indian. i remember lucas was a robot one year and couldn’t get up stairs.
i handed out 7 big bags worth of candy.
today at church the pastor talked about finding balance in your life. he quoted another pastor with something like this. whatever you have a passion for can become an idol. and what’s the very 1st commandment? i think that i had realized this before today and that is why i haven’t been spending much time with the tv or computer on. now i just need to spend that time reading my bible more.
one last item of business.
the buckeyes are 9-0 (i had a few jeers tonight from penn state fans)
the browns are 4-3 (so it’s not the greatest record but hey)
the bengals are 2-5 (how’s that feel?)
the packers are 5-1 (should make it 6-1 tomorrow night)
the pats and colts are the only undefeateds left but that’s ok the browns don’t have to play either of them. and the colts will probably loose to the cheaters, i mean pats, next week.
that’s all folks!
