must remember how to fly

i have been doing some updating to our itunes this week. apparently when i move everything from one drive to the other not everything went, so i did that first. then i deleted about 200 duplicate songs. now i am in the process of putting album titles where there once where none. this has required some time and the use of proper spelling (which i am struggling with right this very moment.) the post title for instance, white snack, should of course be white snake. i also discoved that some songs, that were downloaded questionablely, had either a wrong song title or the wrong artist. that makes it difficult to find out what album the song belongs to.
I am using songfacts.com to find some of the 70’s stuff and itunes for the rest. some i am not bothering with, like the goofy songs, i just put dr. demento as the album title.

I was listening to Bryan Adams today, which made me think of BBC’s Robin Hood (killer show), which made me think of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (not so killer movie), which made me think of Robin Hood: Men in Tights (”unlike other Robin’s, I can speak with a British accent”), which made me think of Cary Elwes, which made me think of The X-Files (”I want to believe”) and The Princess Bride (”as you wish”), The X-Files made me think of the episode “Dreamland” that co-starred Micheal McKean (”dozens of people spontaneously combust each year.”) who is married to Annette O’Toole, who has portrayed both Clark Kent’s girlfriend (Lana Lang in Superman III) and mother (Martha Kent on Smallville), Smallville also features John Glover, who was in Batman & Robin, which also starred Chris O’Donnell, who was in The 3 Muskateers, on the 3 Muskateers soundtrack the song All for Love by Bryan Adams.

Luke and I both cut the grass yesterday. He thought that I didn’t do it in the morning. Oh well.
I like using a people-powered mower, it doesn’t mutilate the grass and I can mow if the grass is still a little wet. I doesn’t take any more time than using the gas-powered mower. Speaking of gas…we have a gas-powered trimmer, I can’t use it because I can’t start it. So I dug out the electric trimmer and 100′ extension cord and tried to edge the sidewalk out back, didn’t go well for me. It looks bad. I also hacked the snot out of the very over-grown bushes by the garage. All of that stuff will be burned this weekend, if the weather is clear.
I have one strawberry that is starting to turn pink! The peepers are growing well. The lemon-verbena just smells so good, kind of like lemon flavored PEZ. The rosemary is growing better in their bigger vessels. On Saturday, I planted sage, more rosemary, catnip (again), peas, celery, pumpkins and garden bean seeds. No sprouts quite yet.

The plumbing is fixed. That makes me happy.

first the lawn mower, then the car, now the plumbing.
the toilet won’t flush properly, most of the time. when the tub is draining (from bath or shower) it makes gurgling noises in the drain line for the washer and toilet.
