So I have made the leap. The old blog is still out there as reference. Also Idlewind Creations and the bauman wish list will remain at blogspot for the time being. As I was sifting through old posts and deleting some un-needed stuff I noticed that I have watched a lot of movies since January 2004. Some day I may go through, pick them out and count. We went to see Rocky Balboa on Christmas Eve. All in all it was a good movie, better than 5 but not the best. It was a sad movie, with a lot of personal struggle. But after watching the entire series, I believe that is what they are really all about. Listened to Eragon on CD. It is a good story, you can distinctly see bits and pieces of nearly every popular sci-fi/fantasy story out there. But given that it was written by a teen, I have to give it 2 thumbs up. It is very well written. I am reading the first ever authorized sequel to Peter Pan, called Peter Pan in Scarlet. It is wonderful, but sad. It takes place 20 years after Wendy and the Lost Boys leave Neverland. I am not finished with it yet.
We have a new guest in our home, his name is Jovi. He belongs to Matt and Erin, however they cannot have pets, so the Jovster is our “foster” cat for now. Yoda is still growling at him, and telling him off. He is slowly coming out and trying to make friends, but he is terrified of Brutus. But who wouldn’t be, he’s big and noisy. Speaking of big and noisy, I read Marley and Me on Saturday, I am certainly glad that Brutus is calm and mild mannered (most of the time).
